Depending on the legal basis for the processing of personal data, the person whose personal data is processed by Smithfield Poland Group companies may have the right to:
- Access to the content of their personal data;
- To correct them;
- To delete, transfer or restrict their processing;
- to object to their processing;
- to withdraw consent to the processing of his personal data (if the data are processed solely based on the consent of the subject);

How do we verify the identity of people who address their letters to the Data Protection Officer ?
The Smithfield Poland Group makes sure that information about you, as well as your personal data, does not fall into the wrong hands. Therefore, in implementing the resulting Art. 15 – 22 RODO of the law we adhere to the principle of adequate verification of the entity making the request for the exercise of rights, among others. through the identity verification system in place. This is necessary in order to ensure that the person who made the request is the same as the data subject and that the execution of the request will not occur at the request of an unauthorized person.
Therefore, for the adequate protection of any personal data that is processed by Smithfield Group Poland, regardless of the communication channel by which the request to exercise the right is received – we will verify your identity, taking into account the principles indicated in Art. 12 RODO.
Identity verification will include:
- contact using the contact information you provided in the request itself, as well as those we previously held;
- Directing questions to you, formulated in such a way that they cannot be answered by a person who has illegally taken possession of your identity document or is using data contained in public records such as the National Court Register.
If you provide the correct answer to the question, you will be informed and we will proceed with your request.
If you give an incorrect answer to the questions asked, or for other reasons we become doubtful about your identity, your request may not be fulfilled, of which you will be informed, but then we may jointly seek another way to carry out the verification.
If, upon receipt of your request, we find that we do not have the information to carry out the verification process, you will be notified.
In such a situation, you will be able to provide us with additional information for verification, or you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority or seek legal remedies in court.
Verification of identity may take place through a different channel of communication than the request for the exercise of rights was received.
